KCEA's primary focus is on enabling Maasai young women to attend secondary school. Less than 1 in 10 Maasai girls in Kenya will complete secondary school. Nine out of ten will be circumcised and married off before the age of 15.  Secondary education is available only in boarding schools and many Maasai families cannot afford to send their daughters to boarding school.  So KCEA identifies capable Maasai girls who are highly motivated to learn.  Such girls are admitted into the KCEA program which includes financial support to attend secondary school and mentoring in life skills they may not otherwise learn. In effect, they become part of an "extended family" of which John and Peris Keshe are the loving and principled leaders.
